Original Mongolian Yurts in Germany

We have already imported several freight containers filled with mongolian yurts and handcrafts to Germany. In most cases, the yurts were already sold before the transport actually arrived in Munich, so we have to work with a preorder system.

Since we get our yurts directly from the craftspeople in Mongolia, we can easily fulfil any special wishes about size, equipment, and decoration. We'll just instruct the craftsman to produce exactly the yurt of your dreams. Of course, this requires some advance notice.

Our most current transport will be arriving in Munich in spring 2007. If you want to buy a yurt or other mongolian goods, please ask us! We are still accepting orders for this transport. If you should happen to be late, we'll contact you in time for the next round.

Dimensions and Prices:

Currently on pre-order:
Original mongolian yurt, including the following items:
  • Wooden frame (5 segments), hand painted in traditional patterns on door, crown and roof poles.

    Diameter ca 5.75m.
    Floor area ca. 25m2
    Wall height ca. 1.55m
    Center height ca. 2.4m

  • Textile-Cover and extra-dense, waterproofed canvas rain coat, specifically selected for more rainy climates than known in Mongolia.
  • A Table with four stools, everything hand painted with traditional patterns.
  • A small Iron Stove with smoke exhaust, and wood crate.
This is the standard family-yurt, which serves as a home for almost half of the population in Mongolia.

Total price for pick-up in Munich:
2995.- Euro (incl. german VAT)

A down-payment of 50% of the total price becomes due with your order, the rest on pick-up.

One original mongolian yurt, as described above, but larger:
  • Wooden frame with 6 segments

    Diameter ca 7.25m.
    Floor area ca. 40m2
    Wall height ca. 1.6m
    Center height ca. 2.6m

This larger yurt is used in Mongolia eg. as an assembly hall, or in yurt camps as a canteen. It is particularly well suited for group activities like seminars etc.

Total price for pick-up in Munich:
4995.- Euro (incl. german VAT)

A down-payment of 50% of the total price becomes due with your order, the rest on pick-up.

Currently on stock in Munich:
One original mongolian yurt, as described above, but smaller:
  • Wooden frame with 4 segments

    Diameter ca 4.25m.
    Floor area ca. 14m2
    Wall height ca. 1.4m
    Center height ca. 2.0m

This smaller yurt is used in Mongolia eg. as storage space, as sleeping space for the children, or as an easily transportable shelter on hunting trips.

Total price for pick-up in Munich:
2149.- Euro (incl. german VAT)
