Mongolian Yurts and Handcrafts in the USA

Coming soon! We are preparing the sale of original mongolian yurts and other handcrafts in the USA. Our first shop will be in Harrisburg, PA. The first shipment is planned to arrive in spring 2007.

Prices:

Currently on pre-order:
original mongolian yurt, including the following items:
  • Wooden frame (5 wall segments), hand painted in traditional patterns on door, crown, and roof poles.
    Diameter ca. 19 ft (5.75 m).
    Floor area ca. 280 ft2 (25 m2).
  • Textile-Cover and extra-dense canvas rain coat, for more rainy climates than known in Mongolia.
  • A Table with four stools, everything hand painted with traditional patterns.
  • A small Iron Stove with smoke exhaust, and wood crate.
Total price for pick-up in Harrisburg, PA:
5695.- USD (+ 6% sales tax for PA residents)

A down-payment of 50% of the total price becomes due with your order, the rest on pick-up.

Currently on pre-order:
  • One original mongolian yurt, as described above, but larger:
    Wooden frame with 6 wall segments
    Diameter ca. 24 ft (7.25 m).
    Floor area ca. 450 ft2 (40 m2)
Total price for pick-up in Harrisburg, PA:
7495.- USD (+ 6% sales tax for PA residents)

A down-payment of 50% of the total price becomes due with your order, the rest on pick-up.

Since we get our yurts directly from the craftspeople in Mongolia, we can easily fulfil any special wishes about size, equipment, and decoration. We'll just instruct the manufacturers to produce exactly the yurt of your dreams. Of course, custom features will require some advance notice.

If you are interested in any other kind of goods from Mongolia, please ask us!. Chances are we'll be able to import what you need at a reasonable price.

Because of the weight and bulk of genuine mongolian yurts it is somewhat impractical to ship them over long distances. We are therefore looking for resellers in other areas of the USA, and possibly in other countries. We thought that ideal candidates might be located in the Texas/New Mexico or Nevada/California areas. Of course, we are also open for suggestions from people in other places.
